We all love a little drama [CONTEST]

you are anything like me, you aren't blessed with the thickest, longest lashes and mascara and falsies. I just love the drama and mystery that a full lash gives my look.
So if you ARE indeed like me, then you know what it is to try a dIfferent mascara every month. This one lengthens, that one boosts volume, and the other one just just plain..... messy.
So I think my search for an affordable mascara that addresses my lash dilemma has come to a climatic end.

<-- I don't know if you can tell the difference with this photo.

I'm pretty sure you see the difference here though. Excuse my brows, we're overdue.

Super Drama has a uniquely designed fan brush that makes every lash fuller and longer. I thought that fact really put it over the edge. Well, what really gets it off that cliff is the fact that there is absolutely NO clumping! (Clumped lashes:You've been there. Dont act like you haven't)
I decided that I love this mascara SO much that I have to share the wealth. One lucky reader will win 2 Super Drama mascaras. You can keep both for yourself or you can give one to a friend. It's your choice!
Contest Rules
1. You must live in Nassau, Bahamas. (Sorry to my international followers and readers. At the moment I cannot ship outside of the Bahamas.)
2. You must become a follower of the blog.
(On the right hand side of the blog there will be a widget that shows the members [followers] of the blog)
3. Once you have become a member, leave the comment "I can't get enough drama".
Additional entries can be made by sharing this blog post on social networks (ie. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.) For each network you get 1 additional entry. You will have to make note of this in the comment bar below.

The contest will run until Sunday, September 16 at 8:00 pm

Super Drama, and other wonderful products from Avon & Mark, can be purchased online by local and international customers by following this link ---->

Keeping up with Kim Kardashian's Wardrobe

I have not yet explained my love for the Kardashian/Jenner family. I'm totally obsessed with those silly and impeccably stylish family members. Part one of KUWTK season finale airs at 9 tonight and in my excitement I started to think about what has been happening to Kim's style lately. When she isn't professionally styled for a photoshoot, lately she's been looking...boring. Gorgeous, but not the sultry Kim we have come to know. The video below explains how her boyfriend Kanye has recently been styling her.

Watch "Kanye West Helps Style Kim Kardashian" on YouTube

It's not all bad... but it certainly is different.
(Sidenote: watching her make that ramen made me laugh...I don't know why)

What do you think about Kim's style evolution?

Short Bit: Dangerously Dramatic Eyes

So I was scanning through Facebook early one morning while [pretending to] get ready for work and I stumbled across this look on Go Jane's FB page. I was so captivated by this photo.. I loved everything about it. From the perfect arch of her brows to the lash definition on the top and bottom.
I think this weekend when I decide to step out.. I'll have to do a similar look. Only problem I have is that I'll need some glitter.
Well it's Friday...we'll see what I can get into..
I'll be sure to post the look later and list all the products that I used. =)

P.S. I may just be using the colors of the Bahamian flag... as we celebrate our win in the Men's 4x400m Relay at the 2012 London Olympics this afternoon.

Bahamian Pride =)

An Oldie... but a Goodie!

I recently realized that someone must have stolen  my face scrub had gone missing. I couldn't find it any where and it drove me crazy. So this week, I realized that my face had started to look a bit dull... and that completely freaked me out. [I know we've all been there.. and if you haven't... Just allow me to be sad ='(]

Anyways... as I made a stop to a local grocery store... I came across something I haven't seen in years...
St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I remember as a child, my mother would use it and I ALWAYS dabbled in her beauty and skin care products. So I would use it sometimes to scrub my skin. (Not that exfoliation was necessary for my face at the time) Needless to say, due to a rush of old memories that came crashing into my brain, I quickly picked up one of the scrubs for myself. I mean, I really needed something to exfoliate with anyway. Therefore, I had no other choice... the coincidence was too great.

I have really sensitive skin and this is one of the best face scrubs that I have tried in a while. It is not drying at all, and it provides the deep clean and exfoliation that I really was seeking. Additionally, this is a very attractive product because the retail price is so cheap for the quality that you receive.
It goes without saying, my skin is beautifully radiant today and I love it.

What beauty products take you back to your childhood? What skin care items can't you live without?

Simple Pleasures

One cannot deny themselves of the simple pleasures in life. I know I can't. So today, while I was making a run for office supplies, I did something I haven't done in years. I picked up a couple magazines.

When we were younger, my dad took us to the bookstore every month or so (in fact, we still visit the book store from time to time....but this is beside the point) because my sisters and I are avid readers. We would always pick up at least one novel a piece and we always tried to come to a consensus  as to which two or three magazines we would bring home. Our picks usually ended up being either Seventeen (our all-time favorite), cosmogirl, teen vogue, etc.

As we got older started to subscribe to Seventeen, Glamour, and Allure. We'd still pick up a few stray mags when we made trips to the book store, but for the most part, we had our very own magazine heaven at home.

At least until recently when what seemed to be never-ending subscriptions came to a most sad end.

So when I went into Bookworld today I just could not resist. And now I feel like everything is right with the world.

Magazines are always chock full of inspiration, tips and all the latest fashion. And lucky me, two of my favorite girls are posted on the covers of the Elle and Glamour- Selena Gomez and Mila Kunis (respectively)
Now all month I'll be in and out of these two magazines getting the hearty helping of magazines that I've been missing for a while.

What are your favorite mags? What are simple pleasures in your life?

The J's Have it.. Jazmine loves Jeni

I bet you're wondering what in the world this title means. Well yesterday as I was browsing on ShoeDazzle, I checked the new arrivals and found a pair of shoes that I instantly fell in love with, the Jeni. Well the thing about Jeni, the shoe has a significant amount of white in the shoe (and currently I hate white shoes, except for these Louboutins that I saw the other day that is tempting me to convert.) but it did not phase me at all!

Well I'd say that Jeni stole my heart with her grown up, sexy candy striper look. The shoes is so versatile it can be worn with jeans and a cute cropped shirt, it could be more dressed up with a navy blazer, and it could also be the perfect accessory in you colorblock madness.

Ladies, I think the J's have it.

All ShoeDazzle shoes retail at 39.95 and they give you a 20 percent off your first purchase. Join today by clicking here

Social Media Madness... Websites I'm Currently Obsessing Over

I've been known to "window shop" on the internet whenever I'm in a bad mood for a quick pick-me-up and my friends can attest to that. Nowadays, window shopping turns into full fledged purchases due to the bargains that I find or one of a kind items I stumble across on the internet.
If you could have felt the excitement that I had when I posted about Rue La La, then you can imagine this very same emotion times 92505827654 to the tenth power when I tell you about my current obsessions. Granted, I am still head over heels in love with Rue La La, these websites put my fanaticism over the edge. Getting my daily dose of PR Couture a few weeks ago, I found one of my obsessions, Fashiolista. Fashiolista is a website that allows you to download an app for your browser that allows you to add the items that you find on websites all over to your list. This helps people who share the same style as you or someone who is trying to identify their own style to be able to find items posted by others from many websites all over the internet. What I love about it is that everyday I happen to find a website that I NEVER knew existed. Now, thanks to Fashiolista I spend about an hour each day finding articles of clothing and accessories to add to my wish list (and some just to dream about).

My second love came from browsing The Glitter Guide and checking out their sidebar. (And now you will be able to see what I mean by checking my sidebar to your right) Lyst, the second love for this post, is similar to Fashiolista, however, Lyst allows you to browse according to what you may be looking for specifically. (think price range, color, sale items, etc.)

So as you can see on my sidebar.. I already have lists flourishing with all the fabulous items that I have stumbled across in my browsing frenzy.  For instance, take a peep at this gorgeous wrap dress from ASOS through Lyst.

House Cleaning... Guess who's a Graduate!

So I'm back to the blog, and posts will be a whole lot more often from now on. One reason why in particular is because I am officially a graduate of The College of The Bahamas with a BBA in Marketing. I'm so excited for this new chapter in my life and just so glad to be done with that program, I cannot wait to be able to study in the US for my master's degree and to be able to find internships in major fashion and entertainment cities like New York and LA. The thought of it makes me want to explode a bit on the inside. My dream is to do Fashion & Entertainment Marketing and PR. So I feel great that one aspect of my education is complete but I know that the journey has just begun. So besides the Fashion and Beauty posts, I will also be sharing a bit more of myself on the blog because I know I'm not alone as it relates to this career journey. So stay tuned.

Congratulations to all of the graduates of the class of 2012 everywhere and at every level. Did you graduate this year? How does it make you feel to know that you are finally done with one stage of your education journey? Comment below.

Update!! && Shop my Store

So, I've been scolded many a time from my friends to get back to my writing. So here I am briefly (as I procrastinate with term papers =\) to just give a little update of what I'm doing.

So I'm on my way to graduating in May *throws glitter and blows whistle*. I must admit, there is something about being close to the finishing line and just feeling so lazy (and convicted at the same time). However I'm trying my best to do all that I need to do to ensure that this final semester is a grand success. And for the first time in a while, I've started my papers well ahead of time. (I have horror stories of writing papers during exam time =(... but let's not go there)

Also, I've been pushing harder with my Avon business, especially mark. and I have a direct link to my store. I'll have some new reviews and news coming very soon.

In my next post I'll tell you how I had great food from my college's kitchen... lol
